It's Tablescape Thursday! The best day of the week for us blogland dishaholics -- time to set the table and make the rounds!
I've set the table this week with an Easter theme. I have to admit this is a pretty busy table today.
There's always a place set just for you!
Here's a closer look at the centerpiece.
Looks like Peter Cottontail has his backpack ready to deliver eggs for Easter. He's standing in my hurricane lamp up to his knees in jelly beans! I found him last year at Goodwill just before Easter.
He's loaded up and ready to hide eggs for an Easter Egg hunt!
Sure hope these jelly beans don't slow him down.
He's surrounded by all his Beatrix Potter friends. I purchased these years ago when I was working at a local Hallmark store.
And a plate of spring flowers and colored eggs.
Here's Jeremy Fisher! (This was our son's favorite Beatrix Potter character)
Perhaps he'll use carrots for his bait.
And next to him is Peter Rabbit's mother.
An overview of the Spring table.
Overview of the centerpiece.
Goblets hand painted with Spring flowers. I found these last year at Goodwill.
The flatware came from Target last summer.
A glass cup of Easter eggs and an egg cup (Hallmark this year) containing an egg candle. I got the candles last year and never used them. Don't remember where I found them.
Let's look at the layers of the dishes. The salad plate came from Cracker Barrel last year -- they had very similar ones this year as well.
My creamy white JCPenny dishes were found a few years ago at Goodwill.
I'm using these large faux cabbage leaves as placemats. I found these and used them for St. Patrick's too. I went back and got more for Easter -- from Ben Franklin Craft store.
Time to light the candles.
Another view of our Easter table.
Wishing you a Happy Easter from our home to yours!
Be sure to visit all the tables hosted this week by Susan of "Between Naps On The Porch" -- you'll find much inspiration for setting your Spring table as well!
See ya!

Tabletop Tuesday - Easter fluffing
I'm really late with my Easter "fluffing" this year! I was still enjoying my St. Patrick's decor - thinking I would leave it out all of March, when I realized that once it becomes April -- Easter is HERE! So time for a change. I figured I would join Marty in "Tabletop Tuesday" with a bit of Bunny Love.
Starting out with my little half round table between the windows in the dining room.
Looks like it's become an indoor garden and these bunnies are enjoying a feast!
I got these bunnies at Marshalls last year right before Easter. I've changed their bows according to the season several times over the year.
This little guy looks like he's ready for his carrot and cabbage supper.
Rabbit food!
Looks like a little Spring fluffing on the sideboard as well.
I found this Department 56 bunny at Goodwill a few weeks ago -- I filled his cabbage with some eggs I had from last year (Marshall's).
This little chick has a lot of personality! I found him at a thrift store and the eggs came from Tuesday Morning -- I got the cheese dome from Goodwill about a month ago. They're all set on glass salad plate atop a pilar candle stick.
More eggs from last year in my apothecary jar. Pink and green bows from my ribbon stash and green/yellow Easter shred came from the dollar store.
A closer look at the eggs.
A framed antique Easter postcard.
Cute little Easter chick!
Little chinese bunny (Made in China) found at Goodwill a couple of weeks after the 1st one. I was amazed at how well they matched.
A little nest of eggs in my sugar scuttle.
Just a little Easter/Spring fluffing on my tabletops this week. Be sure to visit Marty at "A Stroll Through Life" and see all the "fluffing" going on across blogland. Thanks Marty for giving us so much tabletop inspiration.
See ya!

Tablescape Thursday - Wicked!
It's time to set the table once again for Tablescape Thursday with Susan at "Between Naps On The Porch". And this week I'm feeling just a little.....
Wicked! We went to see the touring production of Wicked this week and it was really fun -- so I set a wicked table this week!
Hope you'll join us at the table....now don't be scared...because now we know that old witch really isn't all that wicked after all!
A table full of black and green.
And here's a place set just for you!
Sitting in the center pretty as you please is sweet Glinda -- formerly known as "Galinda".
She's thinking about how *"Popular" she is!
And who's sitting upon this witches' shoe (well it's no ruby slipper!)...but...
...Elphaba...."who?"....you may have heard her called the "wicked witch of the west". The witches' shoes are salt and pepper shakers from years ago (ABC Distributing)
And watch out for that monkey too....looks like he hasn't gotten his wings....yet.
Our centerpiece is on the same frame as last week (different paper) to go with this weeks theme.
Who's that *"defying gravity"?
I tried to get a closer look but she's a bit blurry (tough to get a good picture of a witch in flight).
Then I almost startled her off her broom with the flash!
I gave up and took a picture of the ornament box -- since these tickets were part of our Christmas gift this year, I got this ornament to remind us of coming attractions.
Here's our green napkin tied up with a black polka dotted wired ribbon. Now if I lived next door to Miss Janice I would have popped over and borrowed her cute witch hat napkin rings she used for Halloween. They would have been perfect! Oh well.
My green goblets....again....I've used them three weeks in a row! They were a wonderful Goodwill find.
Let's take a peek at the dishes...the salad plates and matching green napkins came from Target. I think they're still on display there.
These black dishes were a close out sale at K-Mart. I was wanting some black plates for Halloween...I'm sure I'll be able to find much use for these.
My black cork backed placemats were from Tuesday Morning last year. You've seen them and the shell flatware many times in previous tablescapes.
Here's a view of the table from the broom....
....and we'll swoop closer to see the centerpiece.
Another look at our table before night falls....
...and we'll light the candles.
A not so wicked after all Elphaba....and....
...a not entirely nice Glenda....and if you look very closely....you can see our flying witch circling overhead....maybe they'll be coming in for a landing at your town soon...if so, I hope you'll get a chance to see them!
For lots of friendly tablescapes, be sure to visit "Between Naps on The Porch" this week....perhaps you'll find a tablescape that will transport you to another place and time and see something...unexpected!
See ya!
