It's time to set the table for Tablescape Thursday and I've been watching some of you set some pretty amazing Halloween tables! Now I'm generally more for "fun" Halloween decorations---but this week I've gathered all my "spooky" items for those of you who dare.....
.... to come over for a bite!
We've been waiting for you!
Welcome!
Actually, lets turn on the lights and see what's haunting this table tonight.
I've set a place for you.
Do you ever get the feeling you're being watched?
A bit of elegance adds to the scary effect...don't you agree?
Don't take your eyes off your plate....or something may grab your dinner....
.... or crawl across your supper!
Our guests promise a lively dinner conversation!
Be sure to check out all the best haunted tables this week (if you dare!) on Wednesday evening at "Between Naps on the Porch" - hosted by the most wonderful Susan!
Happy Halloween however you love to celebrate - fun or frightening....it's all fabulous!
See ya!
Very nice Martha. I love what you did with the peacock feather and the crrepy hand coming out of the cheesecloth. Very good effects indeed!

ReplyDeleteMartha, wonderfully elegant yet spooky! I love the fabulous napkins, they make you feel like you are at a really fancy event, but then along comes a black hand to steal away whatever blissful feelings you were having at being invited to this soiree! The witch and the skull are just fanciful. OOOOHHHH, I love it all.

Such fun it is to see what you come up with each week. The peacock feather touch suits my fancy.
ReplyDeleteHi Martha, I think elegant scary is the most scary of all! That bony hand reaching out is really creepy and the peacock feather eye is so effective! Happy Halloween! Linda
ReplyDeleteMartha, managing to mingle "spooky" with "elegant" is quite a trick, but you've pulled it off! How clever to think of using the peacock feathers in that way! And what fabulous paisley napkins!
ReplyDeleteI'll come over and take a bite if nothin' bites back. Girl ya set one spooktacular table!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!!! :o)
God bless and have a super fun day!!!
That peacock feather really does look like an eye. There's nothing scary about those beautiful napkins ... except how much I like them. Fun table!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning combo. I love the way you mix the scary treasures to kinda mystical & whimsical treasures. Love all of them.
