I've always loved the 4th of July....it's my next to favorite holiday (right after Thanksgiving). It seems such a shame to take down the red, white and blue on the 5th of July......
.....so I just leave it up all month.
I've been told that I was born a week before my "due date" and my birthday is June 27th......exactly one week before....
....the birthday of the U.S.A!
.....yes, indeed......
.....I could have been.....
....a "Yankee Doodle Gal!"
.....well, it's all packed up in the tub to go in the storage shed.....
.....until next year when we do it all again! Good-bye July.....
See ya!
I HATE to say goodbye to Juy, it seems the summer is flying by WAAAAY too fast! Love all your patriotic decor! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww.....I think you ARE a Yankee Doodle gal anyway!
ReplyDeleteHello:
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful display for your 4th. July celebrations. We can well understand why you feel a little sad when it comes to packing everything away for another year. But then it is there to be looked forward to.
Thank you so much for leaving a comment on our latest post to which we have made reply. We shall hope to welcome you again.
I can't believe how time flies and the older I get the faster it goes!
ReplyDeleteHappy August, Martha!:-)
Love your red, whites and blues Martha! That was the thing I always loved most about travelling in America, seeing the flag everywhere I looked, so patriotic and proud! xx
ReplyDeleteJuly always seems to go fast for me.
ReplyDeleteI think August is one of my least favorite months. It is usually hot and humid.
Oh well... that will give me a reason to stay inside and work on projects and blog!
I am hosting my first blog party the "Bunny Hop". It is a showcase for new bloggers to gain exposure and followers. You are invited!

I just became a follower, again. It said you had no followers and I know that was not right... cause I just came here via my reader. Something is goofy with google!
I LOVE the 4th or any holiday that lets me yell hurrah for our country and I keep out my red, white and blue the entire month of July as well! Actually my outside flag displays are out from memorial day right thru to labor day.
ReplyDeleteI sure love the metal statue of Liberty! Thanks for sharing Martha! (ps, finally really back, my computer was not letting me post- got it fixed!)
Love all your patriotic decor! I put mine out around Memorial Day and leave it up to Labor Day when the Halloween and Fall stuff starts coming out.
ReplyDeleteThis has been a fast summer, hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it is August 1st.
Your decorations are wonderful!

This Summer is flying by. Kids go back to school next week.
ReplyDeleteYour're so cute. I love the 4th of July too and your patriotic displays are darling. The beach basket is really pretty with the shore bird and shells. Now that July has gone, how do you decorate for August? With and ice cold beverage and a fan?
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for fall,
Hugs,
Babs
Loved the patriotic pictures. You have such a wonderful eye for design.
ReplyDeleteOh, dear..I've never seen a July fly by this fast. Goodness...fall will be here before we know it and then your favorite...Thanksgiving will come. I am a wintertime gal..love the winters and can't wait.
ReplyDeleteNot to worry about the following thing. I do that all the time. Think I am a follower, then check and...uh o...
Guess I'd better ck to make sure I am following you...:)))
hugs, bj
I hated to pack away my red white and blue too but it seemed time after returning from my vacation. While I was there I talked to some people from your town! Thought of you!
