A beautiful southern wedding

We had the pleasure of attending the beautiful plantation wedding of our nephew Chris and his lovely bride Becky this weekend -- it was a wonderful, fun, joyfilled event - just what a wedding should be!

After traveling about two hours from Richmond, VA to South Boston, VA we arrived at our destination - Berry Hill Resort.

A lovely entrance.

Further up the drive we come to the plantation gate and a special sign of welcome.

The sign for the inner gate.

The first view of Berry Hill.

As you arrive at the plantation house.

A truly gorgeous and romantic setting for a wedding!

A welcome gift awaits each guest.

Wonderful cheese straws from "The Carriage House" in Richmond, VA.

Our room with a beautiful poster bed.

The Master and Mistress of Berry Hill.

Pretty bedside table.

Comfy chair.

Lovely cheval mirror.

Check out the powder room.

Heated towel racks.

Monogrammed shower curtain. Time to leave our luxerious room and head on down to the rehersal dinner.

Tables set on the grounds.

Beautiful flowers.

Our twin grandgirls playing with the topiary hounds and fox.

All the children had a wonderful time running and playing on the back lawn.

Daughter Katy with one twin.

Son-in-law Brett with another.

Our lovely bride Becky in her "signature" cowgirl boots.

Her niece Katy Ryan seems to be following the same fashion trend.

But the boots come off when the dancing starts.

Evening dancing under the lights among the trees.

My beautiful K girls Keelyn, Katy and Kendall all ready for the wedding.

A string quartet played on the front porch -- there were very light showers right before the wedding - and they pretty well stopped right when the wedding party arrived.

Beautiful sister of the Groom Lori escorted by her husband Jeff.

Second beautiful sister of the groom Kaci escorted by her uncle Todd.

Adorable Ring bearer Fletcher, son of Lori and Jeff. I wasn't fast enough to get a picture of their other son Jackson, also a ring bearer. He'll show up later on.

Three precious flower girls, nieces of the bride.

Our beautiful bride Becky is escorted by her uncle and mother, Joyce.

The vows.

The kiss.

Introducing our couple as Mr. & Mrs.!

While the pictures were being taken of the bridal party, the guests were treated to refreshments inside the plantation house.

Step inside and cool off - then head on to the back for the reception.

The wedding party arrives and is announced. Marti - mother of the groom.

First dance.

The next morning we all met for brunch in the ballroom -- Chris and Becky on the first morning of "Happily Ever After". They'll be back at work on Monday but the honeymoon to Hawaii starts next weekend. Best wishes! We love you both!

Kendall and Keelyn enjoyed their stay at the plantation. We enjoyed it so much, we're thinking of going back in November for our 35th anniversary. Hope you've had a great weekend too -- After two weekends of travel, we're glad to be home for a few weeks -- but we have a very exciting trip coming up next month -- can't wait to tell you all about it!

See ya!
