Wintery Tablescape

Last year this time we were up to our knees in snow. This year we've been mostly unseasonably warm...but today it's cold and wet (but only with rain)....so far. It seems the only snowflakes this week.....

.....are on my table!

So I've set a wintery blue table with my Dollar Tree goblets resting on snowflakes.

My snowflake tablecloth that I've had for ages, I don't remember where I got it....but that may be more due to my age than the age of the tablecloth!

I've set the cloth at an angle this week.

Snowflakes have fallen on my navy blue napkins.

Do you dress in layers for cold weather? Well here are the winter layers of dishes... clear pressed glass glass bowls layered over.....

crocheted snowflakes layered over.....

blue glass salad plates layered over......

white dinner plates layered over.....

.....big plastic snowflakes (Dollar Tree) as chargers.

Snowy centerpiece of epsom salts in a old Bath and Bodyworks candle sleeve after the candle has finished burning down and a tea light.....along with an assortment of snowflakes.

A snowy sky view.

Sort of looks like a busy blizzard doesn't it?

Let's light the tealights.....

....and enjoy the sparkle! I'm joining "Between Naps on the Porch" for Tablescape Thursday. Hope you'll follow along and visit lots of tables set just for you!

See ya!

  1. VERY, VERY clever!!! I wondered how that snowflake design was seemingly on that plate! Very nicely done! The blue & white looks great, too, even though it reminds me of the snow that's headed in tonight! :-( We haven't had so much as a flake all season, but we're supposed to get 1-3" tonight. Snow is only pretty when it's on a tablescape like yours! :-)

  4. Martha, what a happy table! We are also snowless, so sad. It was 45 degree here and kids have been wearing shorts. It looked like winter wonderland on your table, Laura

  11. The blues in your table are such a welcome sight for these eyes. Always my favorite. I really like the blue glass plates...great color! The snow flakes would seem to be the perfect choice for many of us this week. We had a light snow last night. Thanks for giving us a peak at your lovely design. Cherry Kay

  12. Hi Dear M,
What a whimsical table. The blue/turqouise give the life of the white touch.

So beautiful. I din't join the meme for today as I am so busy with all the projects, workloads and the moving out of our lil Missy coz she will study in the university now. We will drive her tomorrow. Sad but, this is the time for her to create her own life for the future.

Happy TS and have a blessed w/end, ahead.

    Greetings from Stockholm,

  18. The blues on this table are just beautiful to me. My favorite part, though, is the way you layered the glass plates over the crocheted snowflakes. That was really pretty!
