St. Patrick's Day

Since our daughter has a birthday near St. Patrick's day.....we always celebrate with her favorite birthday dinner of corned beef and cabbage.

We enjoyed the company of this little leprechaun as our centerpiece.

Shamrock napkins added a bit of festivity to the green goblets.

I found these little cottage plates at Marshall's years ago and we've used them for St. Patrick's dinner every since.  The green dinner plates were a Kroger find and the cabbage leaf "placemats" came from the craft store a few years ago.

These Starbuck's bottles  were perfect to decorate for the girls.

Place settings for my little lasses.

Kendall was all smiles.

And Keelyn too!

Table all ready for Irish dining.

Green milk was the beverage of the day.

Looks like green beans.....but it's green mac and cheese.  (If it wasn't Irish, it was green!)

My sweet girls....what fun it is to celebrate holidays with them!

Green leprechaun cake was the Monday treat this week for my office.  Yep, we love St. Patrick's day at our about you?

See ya!

  1. Your girls are gorgeous, sweet darlings! Happy birthday to your daughter too. I love your beautiful table setting for St. Pat's. That GL cake looks guuud!! Pretty dishes and centerpice. I love St. Patty's Day, even though I'm not Irish one drop, lol!! Have a lovely week.

  2. Wow, your grandgirls are BRAVE to eat green mac and cheese! They are also adorable! I know they loved dining at your festive table. We also enjoyed corned beef and cabbage -- yum!

  3. Your little lassies are adorable, and I would have so much fun greening up a meal for those faces. I love the mac and cheese. That's hilarious and my kind of a celebration.

Everything looks so festive. My favorite piece on the table has to be the cottage themed plates, though. They look so Irish countryside to me.

    Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day!

  4. Hi Martha! Oh, I love your sweet table and love those sweet plates! I can't believe how bit the twins are now! Wow, I remember when they were just little tots! They are so cute and you're so blessed to get to be with them. It's very hard being a long distance gran...but I try to deal with it.
    be a sweetie,
    shelia ;)

  5. Martha, your cute little girls are growing up so fast! I bet they got a big kick out of the green mac and cheese...ah, to be a child again.

  6. Loved the table. I love Irish stuff. The mac and cheese....little rough on the eyes for me. The cake looked yummy. My mom always made corned beef and cabbage, chocolate bread pudding, soda bread for St. Paddy's day. We went to Cracker Barrell for lunch on Sunday...Frank had corned beef. I was under the weather and had breakfast.

  7. Martha What a lovely table, so special with the birthday celebration. Loved the centerpiece. Great reuse of bottles..

  8. Green Mac and Cheese...eeek! Why is it that things that we love as kids seem a little creepy now? How fun to have a holiday birthday to celebrate. The girls look darling and your plates are perfect!

  9. Came back to thank you for your sweet and kind comments. I love your little girls, so pretty!!
    Big hugs,
