Hooray for the Red, White and Blue!

It's no secret that I LOVE the 4th of July!  I always have....so I invite you to join me.....

....at my star spangled table.

I found these cute little bowls at the dollarish spot at Target this year...

I found four different styles

Just perfect for.....

those red, white and blue holidays.

Michaels had these red and blue pinwheel straws this year.  I took one to work and when I take it to the kitchen to fill my glass with water, while I'm walking it spins around and makes me smile......yes, I'm easily amused.

We always had sparklers growing up as part of our celebration....so they became part of my centerpiece along with Lady Liberty.....

....I love this vase I found last year....perfect for holding flags.....

.....my little wooden Uncle Sam.....

....this year's Sam from Michaels at 50% off.
How about a view from the flagpole?
....so what are you doing for the 4th?
Wishing you a safe and wonderful 4th of July!  Here's a few tables from years past.

An "old fashioned" 4th from 2010

...a tabletop parade from 2011.....
....evidently I have a thing for pinwheels - July 2012

See ya!

  5. Martha, this is an adorable table setting. I'm smiling big time! I used sparklers this year too. They are a fun memory from my childhood as well. It was the only type of fireworks that didn't frighten me. Ha!
Thanks for sharing your festive July 4th table. Have a happy one! ~ Sarah

  8. Isn't it amazing how all of us do Fourth tables and they are all different. I like your Target patriotic bowls and the darling Uncle Sam. Bandanas add just the right touch as napkins. I'm loving your sparklers too. They bring a smile to my face and fun memories.

    Happy Fourth of July.

  15. You created the sweetest table!! I would feel so special to be able to sit down there and enjoy a meal. Actually, I'd be too busy looking at all the lovely details in your creation to take time to eat! Haha!!

  16. Oh I love those bowls! I have gotten out of the habit of tablescaping, so I'm not letting myself buy any more dishes until I get back to it again. We spent the 4th at a BBQ with friends and watching fireworks...very traditional and fun. We finally had some dry, nice weather but the rain is on the way back soon!

  17. I love that cloth with your festive scape, Martha! I remember sparklers as a kid, but now they are illegal in NY. My gkids don't know what they are!
