Well hush my mouth...we're headed down south! Where the sweet tea flows and the key lime grows -- and the shrimp you eat tonight were just caught today! Oh Baby! I can't wait! We're leaving on a jet plane tomorrow early and I'll be on the beach tomorrow afternoon! woo! hoo!
Please forgive me for not getting around to as many of your blogs as I usually try to - but you know how getting ready is. Cleaning for the house/dog sitter coming in and washing and packing.
I'll be back oh so soon -- and hopefully with lots of pictures and vacation "funness" to share. You know I just wish I could take you with me...really I do!
Til then....
See ya!

Where are you going Martha?
ReplyDeleteYou will love the island. You will be doing the Sanibel shuffle in no time, and bringing home all of your treasures. You will be about 230 miles southeast of me, but I have been to Sanibel many times. Check out the Edison museum in Ft. Myers if you get a chance, and I would highly recommend the Mad Hatter restaurant on the island. Have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteSue.
What a great trip. I hope you can do nothing but sit on the beach and drink something cool and just enjoy all the peace and quiet. That's the best vacation of all. Have a wonderful trip. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThanks! My motto for this vacation is:

Oh, Martha, have a wonderful time on your trip! I'll miss you and must tell you how special you've made me feel with your surprise to me!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteMartha, I hope you are enjoying your trip.
ReplyDeleteI just finalized the family vacation reservations and flights this morning.
We'll work this out; I will continue to discpline the grandkids and they will have to deal with it. My daughter told me last night, mother you do what I try to do with my children and If I had to select someone to care for them It would be you. So I'm going to let it work it's self out. Hope the weather is still beautiful. We'll talk soon.

Oh, Sanibel island, may I say world famous for its seashells. Is it true? I have never been there in person (yet).
