On the River

We've had fun enjoying Mr. Mid-Atlantic's new (to us) boat this summer. A couple of weeks ago we took our daughter and her family out for a Saturday afternoon of fun. He keeps it at a "boatel" about an hour from here. He calls up and they put it in the water for us. Usually it's already in when we get there, but we got there before that this time so this shows them placing it in the water.

Captain Mid-Atlantic fuels her up and.....

.....we're off! Mom has one twin.

And dad has the other.

Kendall has her chance at steering.

An osprey nest along the way.

Keelyn takes her turn.

Hope you're finding a way to stay cool in all this heat. We're actually invited to an outdoor wedding today....I might melt! (I'm sure to be wishing for river breezes). So how are you keeping cool?

See ya!

  2. What fun. I love going to my cousin Amandas and taking a ride in her pontoon boat. It is sooo relaxing. I had never heard of a boatel...that was pretty cool.

    Hope the wedding is short.
We attended an outdoor wedding 2 weeks ago,
But gratefully, it was quite short.

  7. Nice to see photos of your sweet twins having such a good time. We had an outdoor party at our house and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...but we weren't "dressed for a wedding" as you had to be!

  8. Hello:
What a perfect way to spend the day especially as we understand that you are experiencing some rather brutal weather conditions at present. The twin girls seem to be really enjoying themselves and look as if they will be natural sailors in years to come!!

We have discovered you quite by chance through the delightful Bill and have been thoroughly entertained by your lively posts and very varied topics. We have signed up as followers in order to keep in touch with your adventures.
