Tablescape Thursday - A Wicked repeat.

Hope you don't mind a repeat tablescape from 2010. This week we're going to see the musical "Wicked" for the second time. It's a fun show and a part of our season's Broadway touring theater package for this year. Actually -- how perfect for this month of Halloween. Then later on this week we'll be in Atlanta for Macbeth at the Atlanta Shakesphere Tavern. And of course....more witches!

This was the playbill from the 2010 show.

As you can tell....black and green are the colors of the show.....

....so they're also the colors of my wicked table as well.

Sitting in the center pretty as you please is sweet Glinda --- formerly know as "Galinda" She's thinking about how "Popular" she is!

And on this side we have Elphaba -- you may know her as the wicked witch of the west.

And these shoes are certainly no ruby slippers!

Watch out for the monkey --- even though he hasn't gotten his wings.....yet.

Who's that "defying gravity"?

Had to use the flash to get a better view.

If you've seen the play you know that perhaps that "wicked" witch isn't quite so wicked after all.....and Glenda is not entirely nice either.

Thanks Susan of "Between Naps on the Porch" for providing us this forum each week for dish delights! Hope you'll have a great weekend ....looking forward to reporting on all the fun and witchey drama!

See ya!

  4. Since I just saw "Wicked" for the first time myself two weeks ago, I totally get this table! I appreciate it so much more having seen the musical.

Isn't it the most wonderful show? I didn't expect the theme/moral of the story, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  8. Hi Martha! We are seeing Wicked on Saturday, can't wait!! I've seen it twice, and my daughter has seen it three times, but we are very excited to see it again. I was just thinking about a Wicked tablescape, and here it is! How clever, you really nailed it! Love how you incorporated all the essentials, where did you ever find it all?? And of course, the green and black is perfect. My daughter danced senior year to 'For Good', and their choir at school sang it as well. It always brings a tear to my eye lol!! Enjoy the show, we're going Sat. at 2, how about you?
