Victorian Christmas Tablescape

It's time for Tablescape Thursday again -- I'm enjoying all the holiday tables this time of year. How about you?

Join me today at the Victorian Christmas table.

A closer look at our centerpiece.

This young boy is putting the finishing touches to his snowman. Is it snowing yet where you live?

What is this little darling peeking at...perhaps birds in this little bird house? Let's look....

It's a tiny nativity scene.

This young boy is riding his stick horse. These children are all Hallmark ornaments from a few years ago.

Let's take a closer look at a place setting.

This red and white transferware is made by Johnson Brothers -- called Strawberry Fare. It came from my mother-in-law. While it's very old, I thought it blended well with my new Christmas Johnson Brothers dishes.

The linen and lace napkin came from an antique store and the pewter Santa napkin rings came from a thrift store.

Here's a look at the layering of the dishes.

The top layer is a clear green depression glass octagonal salad plate.

Next we have our Christmas tree plate by Johnson Brothers -- they were $4.99 at Marshalls.

The charger came from a little shop called The Ragged Robin at Virginia Beach this fall. They were reduced to $4.

The white placemats came from an antique store and the flatware came from Target.

An overview of the tablescape.

Table by tealight glow. Mercury glass votives came from Target this year 99 cents ea.

Here's my Christmas tree in the dining room.

White lights, snowflakes and candles.

All sorts of angels hang on this tree. This angel came from Cracker Barrel several years ago.

This angel came from Hallmark years ago.

This cute little sleeping angel came from Hallmark this year.

I've also collected the Hallmark Churches for this tree.

Tiny snowflakes.

Shiny snowflakes.

And more churches.

By the time this tablescape posts, I will have just come back from my Christmas trip to New York -- hopefully I'll have some good pictures to share.

Be sure to stop by "Between Naps On The Porch" to see lot's of tablescape inspirations this week!

See ya!
