Marty's invited us all to another cloche party this week. Time to see what everybody's "captured under glass" for Spring.

On my sideboard all decorated for Easter, I've caught this little chick! He's all nestled in some green & yellow shred with a couple of Easter eggs.

My apothecary jar contains some pretty eggs all decorated for Easter.

Marty said that we could show any "containers" -- so I've got a little bird's nest in my sugar scuttle (that's probably stretching it).

The centerpiece hurricane lamp on my Easter tablescape holds Peter Cottontail and some jelly beans.

The cloche on my washstand has "captured" a little farm boy with a chicken and rooster.

See his sweet little face -- he's taking a break from hoeing the garden. Today I picked this little farm boy to honor my Dad who was born the third child of eight to my grandparents living on a farm right outside of Chase City, VA.

Happy 85th Birthday to a man who's still that little country boy at heart! Happy Birthday Dad!

Be sure to visit Marty at "A Stroll Thru Life" and join in on the Spring Cloche fun.

Thanks Marty, for inviting us to another fun gathering! This is a busy week with extra church services and lot's going on -- I've not been able to get around to as many of your blogs to comment as much as usual, but I look forward to lot's of "visiting" soon. Happy Easter everyone.

See ya!

  12. Happy Birthday to your Dad!! How lucky you are to still have him around to celebrate with.

The black polka-dot ribbon looks so cute on that one cloche...great choice! I wish I'd had some gingham to use, like you did on that other one.

  14. I just love everything you have done but the sugar scoop or scuttle captured my heart. I just bought an old one the other day for the shop but I may have to use it for an Easter scene first before I sell it. Thank you so much for the inspiration. xo Lynn
