I've been awol for a couple of weeks....life just got hectic and busy. I know that I missed a few blog parties and I didn't even set the table for Tablescape Thursday this week. But I've finally got a little free time to try and catch up with what I've missed. You know that I missed you all. I thought I'd share a few fun treasures. Back in the fall a co-worker came in with a cute new purse and when I complimented her on it she said, "If you really like it, I've got a catalog and you can place an order." Well when I saw this purse system, all the cute covers and that I could get them monogrammed....I was hooked! Love these.
Did you carry the bermuda bags from the 70's and 80's? I still have some, but they're just a bit too small for my everyday use. I loved switching the covers to match an outfit and this system works the same way. The Company is called "Thirty-One" -- it's online and very reasonable. They have lots of things besides purses too.
This is a great size and really holds quite a bit. This is a fun combination of bright pink and orange.
when you unsnap the side and lift up the flap .....
....you see the hooks for attaching the covers.
The "base" of the bag comes in brown and black. That's the most expensive part - $45. Since I use both colors I got one of each.
Then the fun part is picking covers - they range from $16 to $24 and the monogram is $6. I've gotten a few at a time.
This cover was actually from their Christmas catalog -- if you look carefully you can see snowflakes. But I think I can still get away with it year round as they're not really pronounced and they're such a soft grey ....what do you think?
Black on grey polka dots.
Denim with robin's egg blue.
Chocolate brown with bright colors.
For some reason I didn't get this one monogrammed. Browns and blues.
Cute rhumba ruffles -- this was also in the Christmas book.....
....as was this red one. But it's a red that isn't quite as bright as what I consider Christmas red. Again, I would carry this cover anytime of year.
Even though this purse isn't one that you can switch ---I wanted a solid black bag.....always classic.
This may look like an eyeglass cover but it's really.....
....a hard cover wallet.
This is a great little "ditty" bag -
.....perfect size for a towel, book and lotion for the pool or beach.
The last couple of make-up bags I've gotten with luggage, my husband has taken for his shaving bag. I made sure to put my "M" on this one!
I don't think this one will get away from me....do you?
Love the crazy paisley.
I even got this lunch bag -- it's much roomier than my Vera Bradley one.
The backside.
The inside...I still put an icepack if I need to keep something really cold -- or else put it in the refrigerator. These are only a few of the items you can find at "Thirty-One" on line....check them out!
My little two mug coffee maker was wearing out after six years and I got a 12 cup one for company dinners that was too large. I finally decided to get this Keurig system for making one mug at a time.
It came with quite a few k-cups of coffee. This will also brew tea over ice -- I looked for some in the grocery store last week, but didn't see any k-cups so I've ordered some along with a "to go" cup with a lid and straw. That will be great for taking along to work in the Summer. They even have sweet teas and a tea and lemonade mixture. For the colder months they have apple cider and hot chocolates.
Last, but not least....it's often little things in life that give me great joy. My friend Jane found me this little butter lamb for my Easter table.
Isn't he just the sweetest?
I hope everybody has a great week-end and now I'm off for a bit of catching up!
See ya!

ReplyDeleteThe purses are so pretty, Martha. How neat that they be monagrammed too. Beautiful colors! Love the ruffly one....Christine
ReplyDeleteHey, Martha! I see you've done a lot of great shopping! I have a Keurig too -- the little one though, the one with the tank that holds water for only one cup at a time; but I love it because here's no waste. (The K-cups are a little expensive though, don't you think?) And you went wild with your purses! Ha-ha! I LOVE the ruffled one! And that brown with the bright colors too. And I laughed when you wrote "ditty bag..." My FATHER used to call his little 'zippered bag' (that he kept stuff in when we went on trips) his "ditty bag" when I was a little girl, so it brought back good memories for me!!
ReplyDeleteTake care and I hope you have a lovely Easter with your family.
Best,
Gloria
