Welcome to our home!

We have a pretty "average" home -- nothing special -- but it becomes special when it's filled with family, friends, food, laughter and love! It's always fun to welcome new guests into our home and over the next few days I'll "show you around" -- but let me warn you -- I'm not only new to blogging - double whammy! I have a new camera and a long history of being a horrible picture photographer! I'm the one who cuts off heads or shoots at a funny angle! I promise to work on it!

Today I'll show you a wreath at my back door coming into the kitchen -- it's pretty simple -- just a bird in her nest sitting in a grapevine wreath. I love to keep a wreath on my front door - and almost every spring I get startled by a bird who's decided to nest there. Does that happen to you too?

I also have a shelf in my downstairs powder room that I try to decorate according to the "season" -- so I've let the birds take over for spring. I just switched over from my winter snow rabbits and this is where the birds will "live" until summer takes over and it's a beachy look.

I guess that's it for "bird watching" in the house.

See ya! Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Hi Martha! I am new to blogging also. I really enjoyed yours! I will look forward to seeing more of your house. Your photography won't be bad at all - just learn to crop the pictures and if you cut something off it's "artistic!" :D Jewel
